From 15 to 21 September, it’s Adult Learners Week 2025. To celebrate we are shining a spotlight on the playwork profession by sharing information about what it takes to become a playworker and how to further your knowledge and training in play and playwork.

You will find a range of resources on our website covering every aspect of play and playwork. Here is our selection to help you learn more and develop your playwork career:

  • What does it take to be a playworker? – if you are thinking about a career in playwork, or just want to find out more, discover what it means to be a playworker in this short video.
  • WeCare Wales short video – a case study of a playworker with contributions from playworkers working at a community open access play session in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
  • Playwork qualifications in Wales – a booklet featuring an overview of what qualifications are available.
