The National Lottery Community Fund has launched a new Small Eco Awards programme offering grants of £300 to £20,000 for community groups to take practical action for the environment.
The programme is open to applications from any community group with a practical idea – not only environmental organisations – in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The funding can be used to:
- start a new activity or continue an existing one (if it meets the priorities)
- help your organisation or community (or both) adapt to new challenges
- run one-off events that have a clear environmental benefit.
This could include improving a local green space, protecting nature, connecting people with the environment, or helping to create a greener, healthier community.
