The Play Satisfaction Survey: A guide to using it locally

Author: David Dallimore
Date: May 2022

This information sheet is aimed at local authority officers carrying out surveys of children’s play satisfaction.

It offers local authorities support in consulting with children, something they have to do as part of their Play Sufficiency Duty requirements. It provides good practice for planning, preparing and using the survey, as well as guidance on collecting, processing and carrying out basic analysis of the data.

Written using data from surveys for Play Sufficiency Assessments undertaken in 2022, the information sheet remains useful in supporting local authorities to consult with children, something they have to do as part of their Play Sufficiency Duty requirements.
