Explore Play Wales
A recording of the third webinar in the Exploring Play Sufficiency series, Play sufficiency at local authority level is now available to watch online. The webinar shares examples of possible responses to play (in)sufficiency at local authority level and explores what makes those responses possible.
The speakers who took part in the webinar and work across different contexts in England, Scotland and Wales, are:
- Jenny Rutherford, Leeds City Council
- Etive Currie, Glasgow City Council
- Tracey Jobber, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
- Gareth Stacey, Wrexham County Borough Council.
The webinar was hosted and moderated by Dr Wendy Russell (University of Gloucestershire) and Mike Barclay and Ben Tawil (Ludicology).
The webinar took place in April 2025. It is part of a series of four webinars looking at the why, how and what of play sufficiency at multiple scales.
The series of webinars are part of further research into the Welsh Government’s Play Sufficiency Duty and the adoption and implementation of the concept of play sufficiency in a wider UK context. They are a collaboration between the University of Gloucestershire and Ludicology, supported by Play Wales.
