Registered childcare and play providers in Wales are legally required to complete the Self-assessment of Service Statement (SASS) online annually.
It’s also an opportunity for providers to to showcase their excellent work and helps Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to understand childcare provision across Wales.
This year’s SASS will open on 13 February and must be completed by 27 March 2026. To help you prepare, log into your CIW online account to make sure your details are up to date. This will make completing your SASS much quicker.
