Learning through Landscapes (LtL) is offering 170 early years setting in England, Scotland and Wales the opportunity to take part in a 12-week hands-on programme designed to transform their use of nature and outdoor spaces for playful learning.
Through the My Nature Play programme, settings will receive six in-person training sessions, delivered onsite during the day by an LtL early years specialist, covering core themes such as Why Nature Play, Playful Parents and Playful Staff. Optional modules, selected to meet the needs of the community, will include training such as Playful Neighbourhoods and Risky Play.
Every setting will also receive an outdoor clothing library for staff and children and a personalised My Nature Play plan developed during follow-up visits, ensuring that playful outdoor learning becomes an embedded, sustainable part of daily practice. This is a simple, practical approach that will work in any setting and is designed to meet the needs and experience of all staff.
Running between February 2026 and July 2028, the progrgamme aims to create a long-term legacy of confidence, creativity and connection to nature.
