The Matthew Good Foundation is offering grants of up to £5,000 to local charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises in the UK.
Every three months, the foundation will share £15,000 between five shortlisted groups that have a positive impact on communities, people or the environment. A vote will be held by employees of the foundation to decide how the grant will be shared amongst the groups. Awards will be issued as follows:
- First place – £5,000
- Second place – £3,500
- Third place – £2,500
- Fourth and fifth place – £2,000 each.
To be eligible, groups do not need to be registered but must have received an income of less than £50,000 in the last 12 months.
Applications are welcomed throughout the year and will be considered in whichever is the next round of funding. The funding rounds and award dates are:
16 March to 15 June – awards made in August
16 June to 15 September – awards made in November
16 September to 15 December – awards made in February
16 December to 15 March – awards made in May.
