Explore Play Wales
Comic Relief Cwtch Communities, managed by WCVA and funded by Comic Relief, aims to empower community groups to grow their impact, respond to immediate needs, and build stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods across Wales. Project activity must take place in Wales and organisations must already work in Wales
The fund offers grants to voluntary organisations in Wales with an income of under £250,000. Grants of £15,000 to £35,000 are available for organisations that work in one or more of the scheme’s three priority areas:
- health (early childhood development)
- basic needs
- safety.
Under the health (early childhood development) priority theme, the fund will support initiatives that focus on the wellbeing and development of young children and their families, particularly in the early years. This may include:
- Parent-and-toddler groups offering opportunities for educational play and emotional support
- Community-led early learning sessions supporting speech, language and social development
- Projects led by parents or carers with lived experience of disadvantage, creating peer support opportunities for other families.
