Free nature packages for community organisations in Wales

Explore Play Wales

Community groups and organisations in Wales can apply for free nature packages through Keep Wales Tidy’s Local Places for Nature project.

Now in its third year, the project offers free packages including native plants, tools and other materials.

Three types of packages are available:

  • Starter packages for community or volunteer groups looking to create small food growing garden or wildlife gardens.
  • Development packages for community-based organisations that are ready to take on a bigger project and build food growing or wildlife gardens.
  • New for 2022 – Community orchard packages for community-based organisations who are looking to create a small outdoor hub on land that is ‘not for profit ownership’.

The project encourages anybody who has a community space in mind to apply. However, priority will be given to projects in urban areas, deprived areas, and areas with little or no access to nature.

Keep Wales Tidy is keen to receive applications from underrepresented groups across Wales.
