Playwork guides – printed versions now available

Our playwork guides are now available in print – in English and in Welsh. If you live or work in Wales, you can order a printed copy of the guides – while stocks last! The guides are free, and available to order for a small postage fee:

• Up to four guides – £5.00
• Up to eight guides – £7.50

We have a limited number of copies available, so to ensure fairness we ask that you please only order one copy of each guide per person or organisation (per language) and only order the volumes that you will find useful to inform your work and learning.

A reminder about the playwork guides:

• Childhood, play and the Playwork Principles (volume 1) looks at the role of play in childhood and the ethics of working in settings where children play.
• Practising playwork (volume 2) is ideal for those who are new to playwork and explores how to identify, create or enhance places for playing.
• Developing and managing a playwork project (volume 3) looks at the practicalities of the delivery of playwork provision and explores the managerial duties of senior plaworkers.
• Managing playworkers and working with other adults (volume 4) looks at managing staff and working with other adults, as well as handling conflict, criticism and complaints.
