Explore Play Wales
The new issue of the Play for Wales magazine explores the theme of involving children when planning and making decisions about their play. It features examples from across Wales.
The articles highlight how encouraging children to participate, to make decisions about their play environment, and collaborating with children of all ages to meet their play needs is of great benefit to everyone involved. Play is children’s priority. We collaborate with them – we offer ideas, we support their ideas, we have a common goal.
The Planning for play – involving children issue includes:
- Play Space Engagement Tool – how local children and teenagers informed the development of Isle of Anglesey Council’s new toolkit for engaging children of all ages in creating play spaces
- Planning Pioneers – Child Friendly Cardiff’s Tom Pughsley shares examples of how the team is embedding children’s voices in urban development across the city
