We have published a new information sheet that explores the relationship between play and creativity and looks at the benefits they offer children.
Written by Ben Tawil of Ludicology, Creativity and tool use in play settings considers theories that relate to providing for play and creativity. It provides some helpful hints and tips – such as top tips for working with tools. It also includes:
- theory-based approaches to nurturing creative play, including loose parts theory
- creativity and tool use
- processes, precautions and procedures.
The information sheet is aimed at playworkers and is also a useful resource for anyone working with children.
