By attending this course, participants will:

  • gain a clear understanding of ACEs
  • learn about the definition of trauma, its causes, and how it may present in individuals
  • explore how ACEs and trauma impact health, wellbeing and development
  • understand why ACE awareness is important in your professional role
  • learn about the role of resilience in overcoming adversity
  • identify key factors that help build and strengthen resilience
  • increase awareness of Welsh legislation, strategies and programmes that support responses to ACEs and trauma.

This course is ideal for practitioners working with children, young people, or adults, professionals in health, social care, education, community or support services and anyone looking to build their knowledge of ACEs, trauma-informed practice and resilience.
