Registration is now open for children in Wales aged 11 to 17 to put themselves forward as candidates to become members of the Welsh Youth Parliament.

The Youth Parliament works directly with the Welsh Senedd and offers children and teenagers the opportunity to express their views at a national level, on issues such as children’s rights. It consists of 60 members, made up of children and teenagers from across Wales who are elected to serve a two-year term.

Voting to elect the members will take place between 4 and 25 November 2024, and children age 11 to 17 can also register to take part in the vote.

Closing date to register as a candidate: 30 September 2024
