The Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Rocio Cifuentes is asking children and teenagers aged 11 to 17 to apply to join her Youth Advisory Panel.
The Commissioner is seeking to recruit children who are passionate about children’s rights and in making a difference to young people’s lives in Wales.
Applicants must:
- be confident to share their ideas and opinions with others
- have an interest in one of the following topics: mental health, poverty, equalities, additional learning needs (ALN).
The new members will be part of the Youth Advisory Panel for 2024. The role of the panel includes supporting the decision-making of the Children’s Commissioner and her team, providing ideas and feedback, and influencing policy for young people in Wales.
A place on the panel lasts for two years and members will be required to attend three meetings per year.
Closing date for applications: 18 December 2023.
