Understanding playwork – a Play Wales webinar

Organiser

Play Wales

Location

Online

This one-hour webinar is being offered to anyone in Wales with an interest in playwork training or qualifications as part of Adult Learners Week, which takes place from 9 to 15 September.

Wales – a Play Friendly Country, the Welsh Government statutory guidance on assessing and securing sufficient play opportunities, recognises the importance of an appropriately skilled workforce both for those working face-to-face with children and those whose work impacts on wherever children may play.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to:

  • understand more about playwork knowledge and skills and its importance for anyone who works with children
  • receive a taster of our latest endorsed training course, Let’s talk about play
  • gain an overview of the playwork training and qualifications available in Wales
  • consider how to best to access playwork training and qualifications across Wales.

The webinar combines short presentations, small group work, whole group discussions and participative, creative activities and games.
