The Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Rocio Cifuentes has launched a new strategy for 2023 to 2026. It sets out what the Commissioner plans to do over the next three years to support children in Wales.
The strategy, Making life better for children in Wales outlines key purposes for the Commissioner, which include listening to and being accessible to all children, and supporting them to know their rights. Annual work plans will be published to show how these purposes will be met.
The strategy follows a survey in which 8,830 children gave their views about what work the Commissioner should focus on. The survey took place in 2022 and gathered feedback from children and young people aged 2 to 25, their families and professionals who work with them.
