Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) has postponed the next Self Assessment of Service Statement (SASS) until January 2023.
CIW has taken the decision to ease some of the pressure on the sector at a very difficult time and give Care Inspectorate Wales more time to prepare properly for the next SASS.
Announcing the decision, CIW’s Head of Childcare and Play Inspection, Kevin Barker said:
‘Our intention is to open the SASS for completion at the same time in forthcoming years – January running into February. Keeping to a consistent timetable for the SASS will enable us to develop it further to include more “census” type questions considering data for the previous calendar year.’
