Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) has published new guidance for providers about how they can suspend their service for a short period of time, for example taking maternity leave, or moving house. Previously, childcare and play services providers would cancel their registration in such circumstances and then go through the process of re-registering.
The guidance clarifies the procedure for voluntary suspension of a service and what is expected when the provider wants to lift the suspension and start offering the service again.
