The temporary relaxation to some of the National Minimum Standards (NMS) for Regulated Childcare for children up to the age of 12 years came to an end on 31 March 2022. The temporary relaxation was re-introduced on 17 January 2022 in response to the impact of COVID-19 on childcare settings.
From 1 April 2022, childcare providers will need to have due regard to the NMS for Regulated Childcare in the usual way.
