The Welsh Government has released an update to the National Minimum Standards for Regulated Childcare (NMS).
The updated NMS include three changes, as set out in the Welsh Government Circular Letter 004/2023:
- an extension of the lead in time for childminders to meet Standard 13.4 (CM) from end of November 2023 to end of November 2024
- name change of Early Childhood, Education and Care (ECEC) to Early Childhood Play, Learning and Care (ECPLC)
- clarification of the position concerning the mandatory face-to-face training required for Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
