Funding: The Phoenix Way – Children and Youth Round

The Phoenix Way, led by The Ubele Initiative and supported by Global Fund for Children, is a grant-making initiative aimed at transforming Black and racially minoritised communities in the UK. The organisation is offering grants of between £30,000 and £50,000 for organisations and community projects supporting children and young people.

To be eligible, projects must meet the following criteria:

  • be led by representatives of Black and/or racially minoritised communities, and work within Black and/or racially minoritised communities
  • have an annual income £150,000 per year or less
  • be proposing a project that works with children and young people that are 18 or under
  • be proposing a project that works with children and young people that are at high risk of becoming involved in violence.

The fund will support a range of groups, including unregistered voluntary or community organisations, registered charities, not-for-profit companies, Community Interest Companies (CIC), and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO).

Closing date for applications: 3 December 2023.
